Some guys sound like men of God. Fewer actually live like one.
This week's Daily Forged pulls that thread, and it's not comfortable.
Scripture of the week
1 Corinthians 4:19-20. "...and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power."
This matters this week because a lot of us are still living off the promises we made instead of the ones we kept.
This week's Daily Forged: Talk Is Cheap
Some men in Corinth were all talk. Big claims, no substance. Paul told them he was coming to test whether their words actually held any weight.
The kingdom doesn't move because you said the right thing. It moves because something changed.
Here's the hard part. It's easy to sound like a man of God. The right verses, the right language, the right posts. It's a lot harder to be one when it actually costs you something. Men trust what you do. Not what you announce you're about to do.
Ask yourself straight. What promise have you made, to God, to your wife, to your kids, to yourself, that's still just words?
Pick one. Follow through on it today. Not next week. Today.
Podcast recap
This week Joey and Paul get into the power of prayer in a man's life, and why so many Christian men wait until things fall apart before they actually start praying like they mean it.
If prayer has become something you do after the crisis instead of before it, this episode is going to sting a little. In a good way.
We're sitting down with him for an upcoming podcast episode, and his story is worth your time before you even hear the interview. Go check out what he's building.
Challenge
Read 10 minutes a day this week. Schedule it, same time every day, and treat it like a ritual, not a maybe.
Before you open scripture, ask God to speak to you and give you clarity. When you're done, thank Him for whatever you walked away with, even if it's small.
Community update
Good problem to have this week. We've got more guys wanting to be interviewed for the podcast than we have time slots for.
That's not a brag. That's the Lord building something. If you haven't jumped into the community yet, this is a good week to stop watching from the outside.
A note from Joey
Here's a question I can't shake this week, and I'm asking you the same one I'm asking myself.
Is Jesus actually Lord over your life, or is He just part of the language you use?
Those are two different things. One is a title you give Him on Sunday. The other rearranges how you live Monday through Saturday.
If your honest answer isn't clean, that's not condemnation. That's an invitation to go deeper.
Every brotherhood starts with one guy forwarding this to another guy. Be that guy.
This community runs on more than a good idea, it takes real time and real money to keep it going every week. If you've got room to give this week, it helps keep this in front of the men who need it most. Never expected, always appreciated.
