Moses is standing in a field, minding his own business, when a bush lights up and doesn't burn up. God calls his name twice. "Moses, Moses." All Moses can say back is "here am I."

That's where it starts. Not with a plan. Not with him being ready. Just a willing heart that shows up.

But God wasn't done with him yet. Right after "here am I" comes "who am I." Moses starts listing every reason he's the wrong man for the job. I stutter. Nobody will believe me. Send someone else. Sound familiar?

Here's what got me. God never argues with Moses about his qualifications. He just keeps saying "I will be with you." That's the whole answer. Not a resume. Not a training program. Just presence.

Then Pastor Luke dropped a detail I couldn't shake. Moses was eighty years old when he finally stood in front of Pharaoh. Eighty. Most guys are polishing their golf clubs at that age, not starting the biggest assignment of their life.

Just when you think God might be done with you, he's just getting started. I am feeling this deep in my core right now.

Here's the truth I keep coming back to. God doesn't call the qualified. He qualifies the called. If he's put something on your heart, a marriage to repair, a son to call, a business to build, a sin to finally kill, you don't need to feel ready before you say yes. You need to say yes and let him make you ready.

Question to sit with this week: What is God asking you to do right now that you keep telling him you're not qualified for?

Every week inside Brotherhood Forged, men wrestle with questions like this one together, not alone.

Know a guy who needs this? Forward this email. That's how we grow.

See you Thursday.
