You know the moment. Something starts pulling at you and you're already building the excuse before you even move toward it.
This week we called that out by name.
Scripture of the week James 1:13-14. "Each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed." It matters this week because most of us are still blaming the bait instead of admitting we bit down on it ourselves.
This week's Daily Forged: Temptation and Truth James will not let you blame God, your circumstances, or the guy who set you up. He says the pull comes from inside you. The word enticed is a fishing term. The bait looks good. The hook is hidden. You are not a victim here, you are being drawn by something already living in you. Accountability without self-awareness is just theater. The men who stay stuck are the ones still pointing outward. You already know your hook. Naming it is where freedom starts.

This Week at Home Ask your wife one honest question tonight: "If we weren't married, would you still choose to be my friend?" Then actually listen to the answer instead of defending yourself.
Your challenge this week Name the temptation you keep making excuses for. Write it down, or say it out loud in prayer. Then name what it's promising you. Then name what it has actually cost you. Clarity is where this starts.
