You don't feel ready. Neither did most of the guys God called.
That's not an excuse. It's permission.
Scripture of the week
1 Corinthians 1:26-31. "Not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise."
This matters this week because most of us are still waiting to feel qualified before we move.
This week's Daily Forged: Called, Not Qualified
Paul reminds the Corinthians they weren't impressive by the world's math. Not many wise. Not many powerful. Not many well connected. God didn't build His church out of the men with the best resumes.
If you've ever felt like the disqualified one in the room, the guy with the record, the failed marriage, the wrong background, hear this again. Your calling was never about your resume.
It's permission to stop waiting until you feel qualified before you move.
Ask yourself straight. Where have you delayed action because you don't feel ready or impressive enough?
Write down one thing you've been avoiding because you feel unqualified. Take the first step on it today.
Podcast recap
This week Paul and Joey sat down with Dr. Jim Bob Haggerton, and this one hits different.
He's a chiropractor by training, over two decades in holistic health. But that's not why you need this episode. It's what he walked through to get there. A year long affair he never expected to survive. Losing a son. A shattered femur that ended his private practice and cracked open a door he didn't know he needed.
He's built his whole approach around one idea. Get real answers from your own blood work instead of guessing for years. Most of what he teaches, he learned by messing up badly and deciding he never wanted to do it again.
If you've ever guessed your way through your health, your marriage, or your faith, this conversation is for you.
Resource of the Week
Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No, to Take Control of Your Life, by Henry Cloud and John Townsend.
We're about to dive into this one together as a community. If you've ever said yes when you meant no, or carried weight that was never yours to carry, this book is going to mess with you in the right way.
Grab a copy. You'll want to be reading along.
Challenge
Spend 10 minutes in God's word every day this week.
Don't just say you'll do it. Schedule it. Same time, every day. Then get one guy to check in with you at that exact time and hold you to it.

We're starting Boundaries together as a community. If you've been meaning to read it, this is your window. Jump in.
A note from Joey
I got called out over coffee this past week.
My friend Freddy looked at me and said, "Joey, if you're putting out all this content about your faith yet not making God first, how's that working out for you?"
That one stung. Because he was right.
I'd gotten away from my daily morning reading. Busy, tired, whatever excuse fit that week. And here I was telling other men to stay in the word.
So I got back to it. Ten minutes. Pray before you read, asking God to reveal what He wants you to see. Pray after, thanking Him for what you learned. I picked that pattern up from Chuck Y in this community, and it's been working.
It's guys like Freddy and Chuck we need in our lives. Men who build us up, hold us accountable, and say something when they see us veering off the path.
That's what Brotherhood is actually about.
Every brotherhood starts with one guy forwarding this to another guy. Be that guy.
None of this runs on its own. The newsletter, the podcast, this whole community, it takes real time and real resources to keep going. If you're able to chip in this week, every bit helps keep it in front of the guys who need it. Never expected, always appreciated.
