Scripture of the week
Romans 15:1 — "We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves."
Real strength doesn't dominate a room. It carries the people in it. That's the whole theme this week.
Message
Strength isn't about winning arguments or proving a point. Paul's instruction to strong men is simple. Bear with. Carry. Sacrifice your preference for the guy in front of you.
You don't get to opt out of that just because someone is still growing. A younger man you mentor. Someone on your team. Someone in your own house who needs more grace than you feel like giving right now. Strength is measured by how you carry others, not by how much you can handle alone.
That same chapter pushes further. Romans 15:7 says accept one another, just as Christ accepted you. Not once you cleaned up. Not once you had it figured out. As you were.
Brotherhood isn't built on agreement. It's built on acceptance. Real acceptance, the kind that doesn't make a struggling man feel like less of one.
Is there someone you've been keeping at arm's length? Waiting for him to get his act together before you fully show up for him? That's not how you were treated. Don't treat him that way either.
Podcast
Season 2, Episode 1 just dropped, and it's Paul and Amber sitting down to talk about ten years of marriage.
Not the highlight reel version. The real one. What almost broke them. What actually held them together. What they'd tell a younger version of themselves if they could.
If you've never sat in on a conversation like this, you're missing something most men never get to hear honestly. Go listen. Check it out on Youtube
This week at home
Paul and Amber didn't build ten years on good feelings. They built it on showing up when the feelings weren't there.
One thing they've learned: contempt kills a marriage faster than conflict does. You can disagree and stay married. You can't roll your eyes at your wife for a decade and expect anything good to survive it.
This week, watch how you speak to your wife when you're irritated. Not what you say. How you say it. That tone is either building or eroding something that took years to build.
Community update
We've been putting real energy into fresh content this year, this newsletter included. Behind the scenes, Brotherhood Forged has also been giving back, sponsoring community events and staying dedicated to spreading the Gospel through what we build.
More of that is coming. This isn't a side project. It's the mission.
On a Personal note
Don't neglect the people you love.
Say "I love you" before it's too late. Not as a formality. Say it like you mean it, today, to the people who need to hear it from you.
You don't get those moments back once they're gone.Challenge to you!
Challenge
Are you being the man God actually called you to be?
Not the man you present online. Not the man your resume says you are. The man in your own house, in your own head, when nobody's watching.
Sit with that question today. Don't rush past it
If this hit you today, send it to a brother who needs it.
Stay anchored, brothers.
See you next week.
